Taxonomy
Angulus modesta was named by Carpenter (1864) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Eastern Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was corrected as Angulus modestus by Carpenter (1864); it was recombined as Tellina (Angulus) modesta by Coan et al. (2000) and Moore (2003); it was recombined as Ameritella modesta by Hendy (2021).
