It was reranked as Katherinella by Woodring (1938), Stenzel et al. (1957), Vokes (1980), Sepkoski (2002).

It was assigned to Veneridae by Woodring (1938); to Pitaria by Tegland (1929), Durham (1944); to Pitarinae by Stenzel et al. (1957), Vokes (1980); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
