Leptoptilos titan

Osteichthyes - Ciconiiformes - Ciconiidae

Taxonomy
Leptoptilos titan was named by Wetmore (1940) [Type specimen presumably lost.]. Its type specimen is Mining and Geological Survey, Department of the Netherlands Indies 3313, a limb element (tarso-metatarsus), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Watoealang 1, which is in a Pleistocene fluvial siliciclastic in Indonesia.
