Taxonomy
Udabnopithecus garedziensis was named by Burtshak and Gabashvili (1945). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Udabno I, which is in a MN 11 fluvial-lacustrine siliciclastic in Georgia. It is the type species of Udabnopithecus.
