Taxonomy
Azibius trerki was named by Sudre (1975). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gour Lazib HGL10, which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Glib Zegdou Formation of Algeria. It is the type species of Azibius.
