Corbis laevigata was named by Sowerby (1846) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; central Chile.]. Its type specimen is NHM-L27687, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Fimbria laevigata by Philippi (1887); it was recombined as Lahillia laevigata by Griffin and Nielsen (2008).
