Taxonomy
Bouvierphyllum cardinalense was named by McLean and Pedder (1984). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Southesk-Cairn complex, Mount Mackenzie, which is in a Frasnian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Simla Formation of Canada.
