Khonsunycteris aegypticus
Taxonomy
Khonsunycteris aegypticus was named by Gunnell et al. (2008). Its type specimen is CGM 83673, a mandible (left dentary with c1-m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Khonsunycteris.
