Miopieris was named by Zeuner (1942). It is not extant. Its type is Miopieris talboti.

It was assigned to Ditrysia by Carpenter (1992); to Pierina by Braby et al. (2006); and to Pieridae by Zeuner (1942), Sohn et al. (2012).
