Alveopora racemosa was named by Michelin (1844). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Dendraroea racemosa by d'Orbigny (1850); it was recombined as Dendraraea racemosa by D'Orbigny (1849), Draganescu and Beauvais (1985).
