Antocha was named by Osten Sacken (1860). It is extant. Its type is Antocha saxicola. It is the type genus of Antochini.
It was assigned to Tipulidae by Aldrich (1905) and Carpenter (1992); to Limoniidae by Evenhuis (1994); and to Antochini by Krzemiński et al. (2021).
