Taxonomy
Pleurophyllia skuviensis was named by Turnsek (1981). Its type locality is Skuvija, Stara Planina Mts., which is in a Barremian/Aptian platform/shelf-margin reef limestone in Serbia.

It was recombined as Cladophyllia skuviensis by Roniewicz (2008).
