Taxonomy
Myriophyllum fasciatum was named by Beauvais (1986). Its type locality is Tarhilest Sefrou (Dayer Ifrah), Atlas Mountains, which is in a Jurassic reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in Morocco.
It was recombined as Phacelophyllia fasciata by Turnsek et al. (2003).
