Anchomomys gaillardi
Taxonomy
Anchomomys gaillardi was named by Stehlin (1916) [type said by Simons 1997 to be from Lissieu and Schwartz and Tattersall 1983, not from Egerkingen]. Its type specimen is UL L 46 bis, a mandible (left maxillary and mandibular fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lissieu, Bartonian, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial horizon in France.
