Taxonomy
Floria sexradiata was named by Sikharulidze (1985). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mokhorotubani, Dzirul Massif, which is in a Hauterivian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in Georgia.
It was recombined as Floriastrea sexradiata by Löser et al. (2009).
