Diploastrea alternicosta
Taxonomy
Thegioastraea alternicosta was named by Chevalier (1961). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Le Peloua reef, Saucats Valley, Gironde, which is in a Burdigalian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Falun de Leognan Formation of France.
It was recombined as Diploastrea alternicosta by Kiessling (2014).
