Taxonomy

Turbinolia cornucopia was named by Michelotti (1838).

It was recombined as Trochocyathus cornucopia by Milne-Edwards and Haime (1848), Duncan (1863); it was recombined as Caryophyllia (Ceratocyathus) cornucopia by Chevalier (1961).
