Taxonomy
Hexapetalum impium was named by Eliasova (1975). Its type specimen is Holotype HF 250, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jasenice, Stramberk reef limestone, Czechia, which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Stramberk Limestone Formation of Czechia. It is the type species of Hexapetalum.
