Taxonomy

Latimaeandra steini was named by Felix (1891).

It was recombined as Meandraraea steini by Löser (2006); it was recombined as Meandrophyllia steini by Baron-Szabo (2009).

Synonyms

Latimaeandra sauteri was named by Felix (1891).

It was recombined as Meandraraea sauteri by Wells (1932); it was recombined as Meandrophyllia sauteri by Wells (1944); it was synonymized subjectively with Meandrophyllia steini by Baron-Szabo (2009).
Meandraraea mabutii was named by Eguchi (1951). Its type locality is Oshima Island, Kesennuma, which is in a Hauterivian shallow subtidal limestone in the Yokonuma Formation of Japan.

It was synonymized subjectively with Meandrophyllia sauteri by Baron-Szabo (2009).
