Taxonomy
Rhipidastraea soukupi was named by Eliasova (1991). Its type locality is Planany, Czechia, which is in a Turonian reef, buildup or bioherm rudstone in the Bila hora Formation of Czechia. It is the type species of Rhipidastraea.
