Gigantocharinus szatmaryi
Taxonomy
Gigantocharinus szatmaryi was named by Shear (2000). Its type specimen is ANSP IP 79631, an exoskeleton (nearly complete specimen including carbonized cuticle), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Red Hill Locality, which is in a Famennian channel sandstone in the Catskill Formation of Pennsylvania. It is the type species of Gigantocharinus.
