Cardium pinnulatum was named by Conrad (1831) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent; Northern Atlantic]. It is extant.
It was recombined as Cerastoderma pinnulatum by Richards (1962); it was recombined as Parvicardium pinnulatum by Schneider and Carter (2001); it was recombined as Goethemia pinnulata by Hendy et al. (2008).
