Taxonomy

Amphidesma linosa was named by Conrad (1833). Its type specimen is ANSP 20253, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Syndosmya linosa by Conrad (1854); it was recombined as Semele linosa by Harris (1919) and Brann and Kent (1960).
