Taxonomy
Lophocarinophyllum lancuense was named by Cai (1986). Its type specimen is XR-004-007 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laohutai KG2-III-29, Baicheng, which is in a Sakmarian carbonate limestone in the Kangkelin Formation of China.
