Saadanius hijazensis
Taxonomy
Saadanius hijazensis was named by Zalmout et al. (2010). Its type specimen is SGS-UM 2009-002, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Harrat Al Ujayfa, which is in an Oligocene mire/swamp horizon in the Shumaysi Formation of Saudi Arabia. It is the type species of Saadanius.
