Hexaprotodon dulu
Taxonomy
Hexaprotodon dulu was named by Boisserie (2004). Its type specimen is AME-VP-1/33, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Amba East, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial volcaniclastic in the Sagantole Formation of Ethiopia.
It was recombined as Hippopotamus dulu by Weston and Boisserie (2010).
