Taxonomy
Hymenarcys cridlandi was named by Lewis (1969). Its type specimen is UC Boulder BP 4b, an exoskeleton (Whole insect), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Brick Pit, Spokane, which is in a Langhian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Latah Formation of Washington.
