Paralogus hispanicus was named by Nel et al. (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 4702/2, a forewing (Forewing base), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Cantera de Ladrillos, Cordoba, which is in a Stephanian/Asselian terrestrial horizon in Spain.
