Taxonomy
Shurabia serrata was named by Aristov et al. (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 2785/2161, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Madygen, PIN collection 2785, Dzhailoucho area, which is in a Ladinian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
