Narkeminopsis eddi was named by Whalley (1979). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 64531, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Radstock Colliery, Tyning waste-heap, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial horizon in the United Kingdom.
