Taxonomy
Psestocixius fuscus was named by Hamilton (1990). Its type specimen is AMNH 43616, an exoskeleton (male), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (AMNH collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Psestocixius.
