Phenacoperga coloradensis
Taxonomy
Perga coloradensis was named by Cockerell (1907). Its type specimen is UCM 4537, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Phenacoperga.
It was recombined as Phenacoperga coloradensis by Cockerell (1908), Taeger et al. (2010) and Archibald and Rasnitsyn (2023).
