Taxonomy
Schwenckfeldina archoica was named by Solórzano Kraemer and Mohrig (2007). Its type specimen is SMNS Mx 367, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Mexican amber (SMNS collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in the Mazantic Shale Formation of Mexico.
