---|---|---|
W. J. Sando 1983 | Petalaxis with corallite diameter 4.5 to 6.5 mm and 16 to 19 major septa that closely approach the columella but seldom reach it and extend into the dissepimentarium, commonly being attached to the cor-allite wall. Minor septa well developed. Corallite wall dilated and denticulate. Columella a simple thickened axial plate connected to the counter or cardinal septum. Dissepimentarium weakly lonsdaleoid, composed of 1 to 2 rows of small inflated dissepiments Tabularium con-sists of a peripheral zone of clinotabellae and a periaxial zone of mostly complete, horizontal, flat or concave tabulae spaced 0.25 to 0. 75 mm apart. Ratio of tabularium width to corallite diameter about 0.6. Mode of increase unknown. |
