Taxonomy
Yuripopovia vectense was named by Heads (2008). Its type specimen is MIWG 7090, a tegmen, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Atherfield, Isle of Wight, which is in an Aptian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Vectis Formation of the United Kingdom.
