Taxonomy
Notoblattites wianamattensis was named by Tillyard (1918). Its type specimen is Mitchell Coll. 3, a tegmen (Basal Fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Glenlee railway cutting, which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian pond shale in the Ashfield Shale Formation of Australia.
