Metrorhynchites sydneiensis
Taxonomy
Metrorhynchites sydneiensis was named by Tillyard (1916). Its type specimen is GSQI28, an elytra, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Carrington Brick Company's clay pit, St Peter's (Dunstan collection), which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian pond claystone in the Ashfield Shale Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Metrorhynchites.
