Mesojassus ipsviciensis

Taxonomy

Mesojassus ipsviciensis was named by Tillyard (1916). Its type specimen is GSQI33, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1909 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Mesojassus.

Synonyms

Triassojassus proavitus was named by Tillyard (1919). Its type specimen is GSQI191a, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.

It was synonymized subjectively with Mesojassus ipsviciensis by Lambkin (2020).
Triassocotis stricta was named by Evans (1961). Its type specimen is UQ F3688, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mount Crosby Insect Bed (UQ collection), which is in a Norian pond shale in Australia.

It was synonymized subjectively with Mesojassus ipsviciensis by Lambkin (2020).
