Eubleptus was named by Handlirsch (1906). It is the type genus of Eubleptidae.

It was assigned to Eubleptidae by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922), Carpenter (1965), Carpenter (1992).

Synonyms

Athymodictya was named by Handlirsch (1911). It is not extant. Its type is Athymodictya parva.

It was synonymized subjectively with Eubleptus by Carpenter (1983).

It was assigned to Dictyoneuridae by Handlirsch (1911), Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922); and to Stenodictyopteridae by Laurentiaux (1953).
