Amplicella sessilis
Taxonomy
Tanychora sessilis was named by Townes (1973). Its type specimen is PIN 1989/2594, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 1989), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Amplicella.
It was recombined as Amplicella sessilis by Kopylov (2010).
