Taxonomy

Dasyleptus was named by Brongniart (1885).

It was assigned to Dasyleptidae by Sharov (1957), Carpenter (1992), Rasnitsyn (1999), Rasnitsyn (2004), Engel (2009).

Synonyms

Lepidodasypus was named by Durden (1978). Its type is Lepidodasypus sharovi.

It was synonymized subjectively with Dasyleptus by Rasnitsyn (1999), Bechly and Stockar (2011).

It was assigned to Monura by Durden (1978); and to Dasyleptidae by Carpenter (1992).
