Taxonomy
Trupochalcis was named by Kozlov (1975). It is not extant. It is the type genus of Trupochalcididae.

It was assigned to Trupochalcidinae by Johnson (1992); and to Trupochalcididae by Rasnitsyn (1975) and Rasnitsyn and Öhm-Kühnle (2020).
