Taxonomy
Baissa anomala was named by Rasnitsyn (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 1989/2599, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 1989), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
