Strephocladus subtilis

Taxonomy
Petroblattina subtilis was named by Kliver (1883). Its type specimen is Bergaschule Saarbrücken 7c Ba 14, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Schiffweiler, which is in a Stephanian lacustrine shale in the Lower Ottweiler Schichten Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Strephocladus.

It was recombined as Strephocladus subtilis by Scudder (1885), Scudder (1885), Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1922), Guthörl (1934), Waterlot (1934), Guthörl (1936), Prokop et al. (2015) and Guan et al. (2016).
