Aethophlebia singularis
Taxonomy
Aethophlebia singularis was named by Scudder (1885). Its type specimen is USNM 38147, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (USNM Collection), which is in a Westphalian D interdistributary bay mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Aethophlebia.
It was recombined as Aetophlebia singularis by Handlirsch (1922).
