Taxonomy
Paraprosbole rotruda was named by Whalley (1985). Its type specimen is BMNH In 59374, a wing (basal fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Flatstones, Stonebarrow, Charmouth (Jackson collection), which is in an Obtusum marine mudstone in the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Shuraboprosbole rotruda by Chen et al. (2016).
