Taxonomy
Turanopsyche venosa was named by Martynov (1937). Its type specimen is PIN 976/11, a forewing (hind portion & apical margin not preserved), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Shurab II, Ditch 63 (TSNIGRI collection 976), which is in a Toarcian terrestrial horizon in the Sulyukta Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
