Tsinania was named by Walcott (1914) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Fran Cm Trep Sepkoski's reference number: 16,464]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Corynexochida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tsinaniidae by Jell and Adrain (2002) and Wernette et al. (2020).
