Dihoplus kirchbergensis
Taxonomy
Rhinoceros kirchbergense was named by Jäger (1839) [kirchbergense is definitely the original spelling, see Owen 1846].
It was synonymized subjectively with Rhinoceros schleiermacheri by Owen (1846); it was recombined as Dicerorhinus kirchbergense by Loose (1975); it was recombined as Dicerorhinus kirchbergensis by Xu (1986); it was recombined as Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis by Lacombat (2005); it was recombined as Dihoplus kirchbergensis by Deng et al. (2011).
