Taxonomy
Scytinoptera kokeni was named by Handlirsch (1904). Its type specimen is Koken collection, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Tikhie Gory (pre PIN), which is in a Roadian lagoonal claystone in the Baitugan Formation of the Russian Federation.
